Summary of Our Aims
The aim is to provide information and support to all who are about to face this life changing experience along with their partners, relatives and carers so that at least some of the worries and anxieties can be answered and an insight into the positive achievements that can be realised.
It is hoped that the real life experiences, and knowledge that the group members have, will help to relieve all parties of some of the fears and worries that are felt at this time.
The Group will provide the rehabilitation teams at Airedale and Bradford Hospitals with a pool of volunteers from wide ranging experiences who they can call on whenever they feel it would be beneficial to have the experience of the positive ways that life can move on explained
It is the intention to hold social events and outings during the year so that members can meet and have some fun while at the same time make new friends, socialise and where people live alone or have difficulty in getting out, give them the opportunity to get out and about.
